We believe children thrive in a natural learning environment with straightforward rules, flexibility, and independence. We embrace the excitement of organized chaos because it sparks curiosity, and inspires creativity. We believe in the HERE and the NOW and the endless learning possibilities that are born from it. We believe children can learn on their own, and from one another with as much guidance as they need and at their age-appropriate pace.
We are convinced our most valuable asset and greatest accomplishment is our genuine FLEXIBLE family setting. Children are relaxed, in an organic learning environment, that offers hands on learning experiences and useful life and social skills. For us is important to respect a child’s right to enjoy learning and being a child.
We are a Family Child Care which means it is a 100% family environment. We operate under a small license of the State of California which means we can have a max of 8 kiddos. One of our advantages is that for the last half of the day there are two of us providers, and one of us has over 30 years of experience in preschool education. But I cannot stress enough that we are not a school, and our day-to-day schedule is very flexible. However, when children leave because they are school-age ready, they leave our care knowing their ABCs, counting, recognizing and knowing the value of numbers from 1-20, they write their first name, recognize colors, shapes and most of them can do the same in Spanish.
Research has shown that play is a very effective way to teach young children. They learn, creative expression and science skills that include constructing, experimenting, and observing.
Fine motor skills to prepare them for holding writing tools. Gross motor skills like coordination and balance. Math skills like counting, sorting, and comparing, Social skills, sharing and self-control.
Smiling is good for the soul.

WE GET MESSY
We encourage children to explore and get messy. This helps sensory development, supports tactile learning and gives them the freedom to be creative.
